Weather or not

I've been told on numerous occasions that i have high expectations, expensive preferences, etc etc. I admit that for some strange reason, whenever i pick up something at the store, it always has the highest price tag. :P Exquisite tastes, perhaps?

But as i ponder upon this (since i'm still stuck in the office just waiting for the client to revert), i realize that it doesn't take a lot to make me happy. Do i hear gasps of disbelief? Yes, my dear friends, in case you haven't noticed....which then comes to the question of WHY haven't you noticed?...but i digress :P, there are plenty of inexpensive things that make me smile. Still sceptical?

Just ask my two dogs. They know how to make my day.
Or the long sandy beach that beckons me for a stroll.
The crisp autumn leaves that colour the ground and crackle as i walk on it.
A whiff of fresh bread or hot coffee that greets you when you walk past the shop.
The voice/sms of a dear one whom i've not seen for a long while.
An impulsive hug of a child or a friend...just because.

I could go on and on but i think you get the idea. :D Today, i must've laughed a thousand times because of friends. Despite the gloomy weather outside, i have been kept warm by the little things that my friends have said or done (knowingly or otherwise). So before anyone start reaching for the Kleenex (or wonder why i'm getting mushy), here's to you all.. for being MY friend.

Sunshine through my window
That's what you are
My shining star
Sunshine
Making me feel like
I'm on top of the world
Telling me I'll go far

Good morning dRaGoNfLy WiNgS...Well at least it is morning HERE!..I came right away from my site when I read your comment and I am glad I did.
I thought that you sounded a bit sad and what a treat to read this post here showing me that you aren't!!

It is so nice that the little things like you listed here make you happy.
It seems that you are a really rich person Amelia!

I like the feel of a kitty brushing against my leg and the sound of it's purring even though I just KNOW that the only reason it is showing such affection is for a dish of food..certainly NOT like your two dogs who are loving you "just because"!

I wish I could say I love the crunch under my feet of snow or ice as Donna mentioned in her comment but for me, I love the crunch of fall leaves just like YOU do Amelia!

The whiff o fresh bread. of course is always nice, but give ME the savoury smell of spaghetti with spicy smelling sauce ANY time of the day or night ot week or month or year!!

Although I have never heard your audible voice my dear friend, I alway love it when I visit you here and there is a new post on your blog.

If I ever DID meet you , I guess I would give you more than an impuslive hug,
I MIGHT just give you a big bear hug like Jel seems to be passing around these days..

Thank you muchly for the pocket of sunsine.
I think I see a little of it appearing now.
When my dad phoned me this morning, he told me that there was suppose tb be a little sunshine out here sometime today, amidst all of the ice and little did he know that it would be coming from me dear friend, Amelia in Malaysia!!....Special deliviery!!

Have a great morning when you wake up as I can see by the clock here that you might be in bed by now.....God bless you...Love Terry
