Spent Saturday being unproductive. Didn't rush for gym or anywhere. Surprise surprise?? So unlike me. Must be the age thingy. 8P Hahahaha.... Then in evening, Mumbles came by with his friend, the "Attorney at Law" (AaL) to pick me for dinner together with Csu and Siryn at SOULed Out. Mmmm... must admit it was nice to be 'chauffeur-driven'. Have always been the one driving whenever i go out with friends.. and in my little compact car. So when the guys came by in a saloon, it felt sooooooooo spacious. (ok.. being hillbillie here). And to have them open the door to let me in and out. *swoon* So this is what royalty feels like. Hehehehehehe..... (Yes, despite being feminist in a lot of things.... am secretly happy for these rare acts of chivalry)
Had a lot of laughs over dinner. Glad to see my different sets of friends getting along. Wished Foodie and hubby could've been there too. :\ Felt a little 'bimbo' at times when AaL let out bombastic words but Mumbles was sweet enough to qualify that i am not. Wheeeee.... hurrah for Good Friends!! And.. despite my earlier protests of not making my birthday a circus, Csu snuck in a chocolate cake for me and everyone ( i mean.. EVERY ONE in THE restaurant) sang Happy Birthday in the most UN-harmonious way imaginable. Plus.. they plopped a "Happy Birthday" sign on top of my head. *silent groan* Did i say i love my friends??? I REALLY do!!
On Sunday, my family and i went for BBQ Skewer Buffet dinner at Halia. Belated birthday celebration for Dad as well as me. :) It wasn't a crazy as Sat night. Family obviously more civilised (hehehehe..) but it was just as good a celebration as any. Food was aplenty. Think Dad ate almost a whole cow considering he kept asking for more of the BBQ beef... and lamb. He claimed he had been saving his stomach for these. Hahahaha....
My birthday celebration is far from over. Still have a few more to go with other friends and also my family back in my hometown. So maybe making my wish for others is right after all... Look what i got in return. 8D
