What do i get?

Here i am again.... seated at my work station, waiting. And if i am not here, i'd be in the client's office... on the road... at home... in the cafe... or any other place. It is always the same.. i will be waiting. Though time and time again, i have strived to be the one 'who makes things happen', yet in the end... i still end up being the one who waits.

It is like an endless game which life forces me to play. To test my patience. To question my ability to 'let go' and not try to be in control all the time. Often times, i ask myself "Is it worth it? What if the very thing i wait for... never happens? Or turns out to be not what i expected?". The answers elude me still.

Then i came across this.... teaching me to appreciate the 'present', to make the most of every moment...

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask the student who failed a grade.
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who just missed the train.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask a person who won an Olympic silver medal.

But for now... this is closer to my truth...
How much of human life is lost in waiting.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

Sure Terry. :D

Some websites labeled it "Value of Time", but i've also seen it under "Value of Friends".

Have a good day!
